Day 71 - Naute Dam Bush Camp to Orange River Camp via Fish River Canyon 320 km
It was a could morning, but thankfully the wind died down and a hot breakfast was the best start to the day!
We left the campsite and stated the 3 hours drive to the Fish River Canyon which is the second largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon in the U.S.A.
We spent an hour walking the rim of the canyon before having lunch at the amazing viewing area then packed up and headed on towards the South African border arriving in at Orange River camp which is on the Namibian side of the natural border separating the 2 countries. We arrived mid afternoon and checked in to our Air Conditioned room with as much hot water as we could handle and after a 300 minute shower getting all the dirt, sand, grime & smells off ourselves we sat and watched an amazing sunset. We then met up with all the gang to have a farewell dinner with Walter as he couldn't get his visa in time for the final leg of the tour. After dinner we went back to the room to prepare some more blogs before passing out.
