Their journey together started in the summer of 2013...

They both worked on yachts Ingrid as a Chief Stewardess and Al as a Chef. In May 2013 Ingrid started working on a 42 meter motor yacht and in June Al joined the same vessel in Croatia.
After a busy season they got to spend some time together and the rest is history...  

Al asked Ingrid out in Hvar, Croatia. From there on they spent all their free time traveling and exploring together. The first trip away from the boat as a couple was to Sarajevo, Bosnia. This has always been on Al's bucket list, it was a very historical trip. 

During our time on board we travelled in and around Croatia, Palma de Mallorca before transiting to the US for a season and then through the Panama Canal to Costa Rica. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances they had to leave the yacht after 2 years.  After some quality time spent with family it was time to move on...

It had always been a dream of Ingrid's to travel on an Overland truck through Eastern and Southern Africa, so next thing you know they found themselves on a Truck for 3 months seeing the Gorillas of Rwanda, the Migration of Kenya, sailing on the Dhows of Zanzibar, flying above the tree tops of the Okavango Delta in Botswana, running down the Sand Dunes of Namibia & ending in Ingrid’s hometown of Cape Town.
